Helping bring energy projects online faster
Ayo Energy is a founder led research team focused on the bottlenecks slowing, solar, BESS, wind, data centers and grid infrastructure projects, and on finding better ways to bring more gigawatts online faster.
Researching where energy projects get stuck
Developers waste months on weak sites. Consultants prepare applications with incomplete information. Grid teams deal with growing queues, fragmented inputs, and limited time.
The goal at Ayo Energy is simple: understand where the friction is worst, then build tools that help teams make better decisions earlier.
Better decisions, earlier in the process
Reduce wasted time, surface better opportunities earlier, and move projects through interconnection faster.
Get clearer visibility into bottlenecks, timelines, and project risk across the development pipeline.
Improve application quality, reduce avoidable delays, and understand where tooling or process can improve inbound handling.
Built around conversations with teams closest to the work
We take a focused, practical approach to research into where energy projects slow down in the real world, and what better software could do about it.
Book a meetingSolar and BESS developers
Tell us where projects stall, where early decisions get made with weak information, and what would help you move faster.
IPP and project finance teams
Help us understand where delays, uncertainty, and process opacity affect underwriting, timing, and conviction.
Grid and interconnection consultants
Show us where application quality breaks down, where rework happens, and what better tooling could improve.
DNO, TSO, ISO and utility teams
We want to learn where inbound applications create avoidable pain and where process or software could support better screening.
Operators and O&M teams
Help us see where upstream development decisions create downstream operational pain once projects are live.
About
This work sits at the intersection of energy systems, infrastructure, and software.
It is informed by experience building products at Google Cloud and venture-backed startups, and more recently through research into the operational bottlenecks slowing clean energy deployment including interconnection, siting, and grid coordination.
Ayo Energy is focused on understanding where these systems break down in practice, by speaking directly with developers, consultants, and grid operators, and building tools that reduce friction across the path to deployment.
Frequently asked
Are you selling software yet?
Not yet. This is still a research-led phase. The goal right now is to understand the sharpest bottlenecks before turning them into product decisions.
Who should reach out?
Developers, IPP and finance teams, interconnection consultants, grid teams, and operators working close to the project pipeline.
How long are the calls?
Usually 15 to 20 minutes. Short, focused, and practical.
What is the goal of these conversations?
To get a clearer picture of where projects stall, where effort gets wasted, and what better tooling could do to help teams move faster.
